Raleigh Transportation Bond Referendum

You will see a question at the end of your ballot, under the heading “REFERENDUM, City of Raleigh Transportation Bonds.”

Voters are asked to vote "Yes" or "No" to authorize the City of Raleigh to obtain $206.7 million by selling bonds that would be repaid over time using property tax revenues.

The money would be used for “various transportation-related improvements.”

Most of the money goes for major road-widening projects, with smaller amounts for sidewalk improvements, bike lanes, enhanced landscaping, safer access to public schools, neighborhood traffic calming and more.

See the full list of proposed projects here.
